Architecture of a common man is an opera-ballet-film performance that follows the journey of a world-recognized photographer working on a documentary about his own life, aiming to teach others how to be successful. While creating this documentary, he unveils a fascinating retrospective of his life. Analyzing his relationship with work, family, health, and spirituality. Eventually discovering parts of himself that were buried in his professional ambitions. The main character is split into three performers, an actor on the screen plus 2 alter egos on the stage (a contemporary dancer and an opera baritone). The music is originally written for soprano, baritone, string quartet, piano, synthesizer, and choir. This piece explores how society encourages us to be exceptional, great, perfect, successful, or unique, exploring the true meaning of success and how someone can find happiness in life by just being a common man.

More InfoThe purpose of the Frederick Piano Collection is to give musicians and music lovers a chance to hear works by major piano composers, played on pianos such as those the composers knew, and for which their music was conceived. The Collection includes only grand pianos, by important makers whose instruments were highly regarded in their day, acquired in basically good condition, with most of their original materials intact (especially soundboards). It aims to match each instrument to a specific composer or generation of composers known to have used or preferred that make and vintage of piano. The period of pianos in the Collection extends from about 1790 to 1928, representing music from Haydn and Beethoven through the French Impressionists.

Designed as a trilogy titled "Fragile Form: I Equilibrium, II Rupture, and III Metamorphosis", it explores the fragility of our surroundings, defined by the intervention of action and fueled by time. Objects, emotions, and thoughts alter their destiny suddenly, switching from a complete state to a broken state in a fraction of a second. Should we find the equilibrium to avoid any change? Are we ready to modify our behavior and learn from the past? Do we have the courage to transform ourselves and find new perspectives?

Two Roads
CreArt Music Festival
Two Road is a chamber opera for mezzo-soprano, physical actor, choir & dance ensemble, electronic, piano, percussions and movable set. Although framed as an opera due to his musical nature, this performance embraces the set, the choreography, and the light and sound design, as part of the dramaturgy elements that are written in the “libretto” following a parallel creative process.
