Música de Cristal
Musica de Cristal
Música de Cristal is a temporary artistic installation set in Plaza de Porlier, built around a glass greenhouse. Inside, a grand piano is enclosed within the transparent structure, becoming the heart of a scenic capsule in the urban landscape. Visitors can approach and listen through headphones connected to the greenhouse, as if tuning in to a silent presence whispering from within.
The installation evokes the suspended energy of an empty concert hall — just before or after a recital — without an audience, yet still echoing with the memory of the last chords.
At specific times, the installation comes alive with live music: two performances (at 9:30 PM and 11:00 PM) in which a flute and piano duo transforms the space into an intimate, shared concert.
The experience blends live music, immersive headphone listening, lighting design, visual projections, and a soundscape that expands into the plaza. The transparency of the glass turns each performance into an open, permeable experience, allowing the public to surround the installation and discover a sonic space in dialogue with the city.
A poetic and ephemeral experience that merges music, architecture, visual arts, and public space, inviting visitors to rediscover the city from a new perspective.

The Most Original Concert of Oviedo’s Noche Blanca
La Nueva España — Oviedo, October 4, 2025

The most original concert of Oviedo’s Noche Blanca took place inside a glass greenhouse in Plaza de Porlier, right in the heart of the old town. A light rain fell while music floated from a transparent structure that resembled a greenhouse. A grand piano and a flute could be seen through the glass, drawing in passersby exploring the city’s Noche Blanca.
Visitors could choose to listen through headphones connected to the installation or attend one of the two live, 30-minute concerts. Flutist Guillermo Laporta and pianist Josefina Urraca performed inside the temporary art installation Música de Cristal (“Music of Glass”).
Organized by Ensemble CreArtBox in collaboration with the ADAR Festival, the installation gathered large audiences around the glass structure — some listening individually through headphones, others collectively in public silence. The creators explained that the idea was to evoke “the suspended energy in an empty concert hall, right before or after a recital — without an audience, yet still echoing with the memory of the last chords.”
At the end of the performance, the audience applauded warmly, separated from the musicians only by the glass walls. “I loved experiencing something so different,” said attendee María Álvarez. “And in this setting, even more,” added Carolina Fernández.
