Call for Visual Artists.

An annual call for visual artists, designers, photographers, video and installation artists to collaborate with CreArtBox on work that enhances and interacts with live classical music.

What we're seeking

Work that enhances and interacts with live classical music in fresh and innovative ways - visual artwork, video, installations, and interdisciplinary approaches that blend multiple art forms.

Who can apply

Visual artists of all backgrounds. Knowledge of classical music is neither required nor encouraged. We welcome fresh perspectives, and seek to foster interdisciplinary collaboration with artists working across theatre, dance, and other media.

How the collaboration works

Selected artists start with small-scale participatory projects featured alongside other artists in live performances. Successful initial collaborations can lead to larger opportunities, including commissioned grants. The organisation has previously awarded $10,000 each in 2023 and 2024 for major commissioned pieces.

Touring

Accepted works tour across the United States and Europe, providing international visibility through CreArtBox's immersive performance programming.
